What it costs to have an FCA application prepared

Updated

Most firms pay an adviser to prepare the business plan and supporting material. That price is almost never published.

What we found

No published preparation fee

We read 49 pages from compliance consultancies and law firms on 28 October 2026. They restate the FCA's own fee or ask you to enquire; none prints its own price for preparing an application.

What the FCA asks for

The firm-type pages ask for a business plan and other supporting material with the application, submitted on the FCA's Connect system.
